Application

Dibutyl phthalate is used as a plasticizer with compositions based on polyvinyl chloride, rubbers, epoxy resins, cellulose esters and some high boiling solvents.

Dibutyl phthalate has a 2nd class of hazard risk to the body.

Production facilities must be provided with forced ventilation. When working with dibutyl phthalate special clothing and personal protective equipment should be used.
