Oxalic acid technical
Obtaining
Oxalic acid technical (ethanedioic acid) obtained by the oxidation of ethylene glycol with a mixture of nitric and sulfuric acids in the presence of a catalyst of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5).
Application
Oxalic acid is used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, as a mordant in the textile and leather industries, as a component of the anodic film deposition baths for Al, Ti and Sn; as a reagent in analytical chemistry in organic synthesis, a component of metal cleaning rust, scale and oxides, for the deposition of REE, in microscopy as a bleach cuts.
Oxalic acid is colorless crystals.
Safety requirements
Oxalic acid technical- a combustible material in the settled state of oxalic acid dust fire hazard, the degree of impact on the body of the substances
Packing
Oxalic acid technical is packed in polyethylene bags with net weight (40.0 ± 0.5) or (25.0 ± 0.5) kg, bags made of polyethylene film with color printing, plywood reels of film bag inside, special soft disposable containers.
